Lobe piercing
DESCRIPTION
A Lobe piercing is placed in the soft, lower part of the ear, which contains no cartilage. It is the best-known and most commonly chosen ear piercing, and can be worn as a classic earring or as part of a more modern, multi-jewellery arrangement.
In addition to the traditional placement, multiple piercings can be placed side by side or one above another in the earlobe, provided that your anatomy and the available space allow it. This offers countless options, from a subtle single piece of jewellery to a personalised, multi-piercing ear styling.
At our studio, earlobe piercings are performed using a sterile, single-use needle and professional piercing techniques—not a piercing gun. Before the procedure, our piercers will help determine the placement that best complements your face and ear shape, as well as select the appropriate premium titanium starter jewellery.
CARE
The healing time for a Lobe, or earlobe piercing is at least 1-2 months.
For a smooth healing process, please follow these guidelines:
- Do not go swimming, use a sauna, or visit a tanning salon for the first two weeks after getting pierced.
- Until fully healed, do not remove, change, or rotate the jewellery, and do not treat the piercing with alcohol-based products.
- Always wash your hands thoroughly before caring for a fresh piercing.
- Use an alcohol-free disinfectant and an anti-inflammatory aftercare product twice daily.
- Every 2–3 days, apply a sterile 0.9% saline compress for approximately 10 minutes. This supports healing and helps remove dried blood and discharge. If necessary, use a sterile cotton swab or sterile gauze.
- Do not sleep on the jewellery until the piercing has fully healed. Make sure that nothing puts pressure on or irritates it, such as a hat or headphones. Keep any objects that regularly come into contact with the piercing clean as well.
- If a healed piercing later becomes inflamed, consult a professional to discuss the appropriate treatment and whether a jewellery change may be necessary. Do not postpone this for several days—prompt care makes the issue easier to treat.

The rules below make it easy to find out what applies to you.
Which piercings do we not perform under the age of 18? We only perform the following for those over the age of 18:- Intimate piercings,
- Snake Eyes piercings,
- Horizontal Tongue piercings,
- Transverse Lobe piercings,
- Microdermal piercings placed on the face,
- Surface piercings placed on the face.
If you are not sure which category your chosen piercing belongs to, feel free to contact us before getting pierced, and we will help you understand the age restrictions and the required parental consent.
Between the ages of 16 and 18To get a piercing, a completed parental consent form is required; the parent’s personal presence is generally not mandatory.
However, for Microdermal and Surface piercings placed on the body, the parent’s personal presence is also required in addition to the completed consent form.
Between the ages of 14 and 16We perform piercings only in the presence of a parent.
At this age, we do not perform Microdermal, Extreme, Surface, or Nipple piercings.
Under the age of 14Under the age of 14, we only offer ear piercing with a piercing gun.
At this age, it is not possible to get a piercing at our salon.
