The healing time for a Navel piercing is approximately 2–3 months.

For trouble-free healing, follow the advice below:

• With a fresh piercing, do not go to swimming pools, saunas or tanning salons for 2 weeks.
• Until fully healed, the jewelry must not be removed, changed, rotated or treated with alcohol-based products!
• Always wash your hands thoroughly before caring for a freshly pierced piercing.
• Use an alcohol-free disinfectant and anti-inflammatory product twice a day.
• Apply a compress with sterile 0.9% saline solution every 2–3 days, for approximately 10 minutes at a time, as this helps healing and removes dried blood and discharge. (If necessary, the use of a sterile cotton swab or sterile gauze pad is recommended.)
• Until fully healed, do not sleep on the jewelry and make sure that nothing squeezes it (e.g. trousers, a belt, etc.) or irritates it. Also keep clean any objects that may regularly come into contact with the piercing.
• For two weeks, only shower; do not soak the piercing in a bathtub.
• If the healed piercing becomes inflamed later on, consult a professional (possibly due to a necessary piercing change) and discuss further treatment with them.
  This must not be postponed for days, as the problem can be treated more quickly with prompt intervention.
