Nipple piercing
DESCRIPTION
A nipple piercing, also known as a nipple piercing, is a piercing made through the nipple, most commonly placed horizontally.
The jewelry passes through the nipple itself, rather than through the darker area of skin surrounding it, known as the areola. The two ends of the jewelry are visible on either side of the nipple.
A nipple piercing can be done on one or both nipples, and with suitable anatomy, placements other than the classic horizontal position can also be created. It is most commonly worn with straight-bar jewelry.
Since everyone’s nipples differ in size, shape, and anatomical structure, our piercers examine the anatomy before piercing, then determine the ideal placement and the appropriate premium titanium starter jewelry based on these characteristics.
CARE
The healing time for a Nipple piercing is at least 2-3 months.
For trouble-free healing, follow the advice below:
- With a fresh piercing, do not go to swimming pools, saunas or tanning salons for 2 weeks.
- Until fully healed, the jewelry must not be removed, changed, rotated or treated with alcohol-based products!
- Always wash your hands thoroughly before caring for a freshly pierced piercing.
- Use an alcohol-free disinfectant and anti-inflammatory product twice a day.
- Apply a compress with sterile 0.9% saline solution every 2–3 days, for approximately 10 minutes at a time, as this helps healing and removes dried blood and discharge. (If necessary, the use of a sterile cotton swab or sterile gauze pad is recommended.)
- Until fully healed, do not sleep on the jewelry and make sure that nothing squeezes it (e.g. a bra, T-shirt, etc.) or irritates it. Also keep clean any objects that may regularly come into contact with the piercing.
- For two weeks, only shower; do not soak the piercing in a bathtub.
- If the healed piercing becomes inflamed later on, consult a professional (possibly due to a necessary piercing change) and discuss further treatment with them. This must not be postponed for days, as the problem can be treated more quickly with prompt intervention.
- In case of any questions or abnormalities related to healing, ask for our help immediately.
