Transverse Lobe piercing
DESCRIPTION
A Transverse Lobe piercing runs sideways through the soft, non-cartilaginous tissue of the earlobe. Unlike a traditional earlobe piercing, the jewellery does not pass from front to back; instead, it runs horizontally through the lobe, with each end of the jewellery visible on either side.
Thanks to its distinctive placement, a Transverse Lobe is an eye-catching yet refined ear piercing. It is most often worn with a straight or gently curved barbell, depending on the shape and thickness of the earlobe and the placement it allows.
As the size, shape, and thickness of the earlobe vary from person to person, our piercers assess your individual anatomy before the procedure. Based on this, they determine the ideal placement and select the appropriate premium titanium starter jewellery.

CARE
The healing time for a Transverse Lobe piercing is approximately 2–3 months.
For a smooth healing process, please follow these guidelines:
- Do not go swimming, use a sauna, or visit a tanning salon for the first two weeks after getting pierced.
- Until fully healed, do not remove, change, or rotate the jewellery, and do not treat the piercing with alcohol-based products.
- Always wash your hands thoroughly before caring for a fresh piercing.
- Use an alcohol-free disinfectant and an anti-inflammatory aftercare product twice daily.
- Every 2–3 days, apply a sterile 0.9% saline compress for approximately 10 minutes. This supports healing and helps remove dried blood and discharge. If necessary, use a sterile cotton swab or sterile gauze.
- Do not sleep on the jewellery until the piercing has fully healed. Make sure that nothing puts pressure on or irritates it, such as a hat or headphones. Keep any objects that regularly come into contact with the piercing clean as well.
- If a healed piercing later becomes inflamed, consult a professional to discuss the appropriate treatment and whether a jewellery change may be necessary. Do not postpone this for several days—prompt care makes the issue easier to treat.
- If you have any questions or notice anything unusual during healing, contact us immediately.
BELOW THE AGES OF 18
- Below the age of 14, we only do earrings, with ear-piercing guns. Between the ages of 14-16, we do piercing with parental supervision, exceptions are extreme piercings, microdermals, genital piercings, and nipple piercings.
